Bernard Dunstan was born on the 19th of January 1920. He first studied at the ‘Byam Shaw School of Art’ in 1939 before moving to the ‘Slade School of Fine Art’. His works have been exhibited in both the UK and the US, with exhibitions in London with the’ Roland, Browse and Delbanco Gallery’ from 1952-1970, the ‘Agnew’s Gallery’ since 1972., the ‘Reno Gallery’ since 1981. His works have also been exhibited annually by both the ‘Royal Academy’ and the ‘New English Art Club’. Dunstan is currently the longest serving Royal Academician being elected a full member in 1968.
